GRANDMA ANNA'S PRIZE WINNING
BEAN PEA CASSEROLE
 
1 can green beans
1 can peas
1 1/2 c. grated cheese
1 1/2 c. milk

SAUCE:

1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk

Drain bean and peas into greased casserole dish. Melt butter; add flour, let bubble a minute. Add milk, stirring constantly and cook for 5 minutes or until a thin sauce. Take off stove. Add 1 cup grated cheese, stir until melted. Pour over peas and beans. Then add 1/2 cup grated cheese over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
