DOT-DOT'S JAPANESE FRUIT CAKE 
5 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter, melted
1 lb. raisins
2 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
3 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk

FILLING:

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
2 cans flaked coconut
3 lemons, grated
1 tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs well. Add sugar, spices, and butter. Mix well. Stir raisins and pecans into flour. Add flour mixture and milk to egg mixture alternately, stirring well after each. Bake in 4 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans until cakes test done. Mix ingredients for filling, cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, and put between layers and on top of cake.
