CRISP COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter (1/2 lb. butter)
1 c. cooking oil
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. coconut (Bakers' premium shredded coconut)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. Rice Krispies

Blend sugars, butter, oil and egg. Beat well so oil does not separate. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients into first mixture. Blend well. Chill for easier handling (3 to 4 hours).

Form into balls and put on greased cookie tins. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
