DUTCH APPLE DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. Crisco
1 egg in milk to make 1 c. liquid

Mix as pie dough and roll out. Peel apples and core (about 6). Cut dough in squares and blanket apples. Place in buttered dish. Make syrup of: 2 tbsp. water 1/2 c. brown sugar

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Last 10 minutes, pour syrup over and bake.
