BUTTERMILK BISCUITS | |
2 c. sifted flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2/3 c. buttermilk Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly (can use food processor). Add buttermilk and mix lightly just till combined, don't over mix. Pat out on floured board and cut with a glass. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minuets. Makes about 12 to 16. |
