CANADIAN BUTTER TARTS 
1 recipe pie pastry
1/2 c. seedless raisins
Hot water
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 egg, slightly beaten

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line 12 medium tart or muffin tins with pastry. Soak raisins in hot water 10 minutes. Drain. Combine raisins, butter, sugar, salt and syrup. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.

There is no amount of mention of vanilla in the ingredient list. I used 1 tsp. Also I baked them for 18-20 minutes, you did not give a time. They are nice a chewy.
