POPCORN BALLS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
6 qt. popcorn
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix first 5 ingredients well and cook at medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted or until 290°F is reached on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda until syrup becomes foamy. Pour over 4 quarts popped popcorn. Stir until corn is well coated. Butter hands and press corn into balls.
