CINNAMON BREAKFAST APPLESAUCE 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
4-5 lg. cooking apples (1 1/2 lbs.)
2 tbsp. water
1/4 c. butter

Combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pare apples and chop into bite-size pieces. Put in a 4-cup measure sprinkling with cinnamon and sugar as you add apples.

When you have 4 cups, put water, apples and butter into a saucepan. Cover and cook over low to medium heat, stirring once or twice for 15-20 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 cups.
