FRUIT SWIRL COFFEE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening, Crisco
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 can cherry pie filling

Cream sugar, butter, shortening, add eggs and beat 3 minutes. Add flavorings. Sift baking powder with flour and add to first mixture. Mix well. Spread 2/3 of batter into a greased jelly roll pan (15 x 10). Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoon on top of cherry pie filling. (Just drop here and there). Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes. While warm drizzle with glaze.

GLAZE: Mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring. Mix well. Drizzle over warm coffee cake.
