CRISPY OAT COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. regular oats, uncooked
1 c. crushed Corn Flake cereal
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Cream butter and gradually add sugars; beat well at medium speed. Add egg and beat well. Add oil and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten each ball with tines of a fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheets and cool completely. Makes approximately 10 dozen.
