2 c. self-rising flour 1/2 c. Crisco Buttermilk, as needed Cut Crisco into flour until mixed. Slowly stir in buttermilk until the consistency can be quickly patted down on a floured board and cut. Do not knead. Bake at 400 degrees on the top rack for seven minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with melted butter and a favorite jelly. |
