POTATO AND ONION BAKE 
1 onion
2 tbsp. of butter
2 large potatoes
salt
fresh ground black pepper
1 tbsp. butter extract
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of soft breadcrumbs
1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

Peel and thinly slice onion. Place onion and butter in a microwave proof jug or bowl. Cook on high for 2 minutes or until soft. Wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Place half the potatoes, layered, on the bottom of a microwave proof dish. Top with onion, then arrange the remaining potatoes on top. Season to taste with salt and pepper, cover and cook an additional 5 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Spread with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Grill until golden.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
