FRUIT COBBLER 
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1/3 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
Fruit (fresh berries, apples, peaches, or any fruit)

Mix flour, Crisco, and milk. Roll out and cut in strips. Melt butter in pan then add fruit. After adding fruit, add a little flour to fruit and mix to coat. Lay strips of dough in lattice pattern across top of fruit. Mix sugar and water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour hot mixture over fruit. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes or until brown.
