8 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. heavy cream
1 qt. milk

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar, add the rest except milk. Beat until mixed, pour in freezer. Fill with milk to 3/4ths full, leave room for the ice cream to expand.
