GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 1/2 oz. (1/2 pkg.) German sweet chocolate
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, broken in small pieces

In the top part of a double boiler over boiling water, melt chocolate and butter. Beat eggs until thick. Beat in flour, sugar, and vanilla. Allow chocolate mixture to cool. Stir in nuts, mixing well.

Butter and flour an 8-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

This dessert may be made the day before and refrigerated, but should be taken out several hours before so that the center will be soft. It forms its own crust on the outside and pulls away from the sides of the pan when done.
