SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 c. milk
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. ground pork
1 egg, beaten
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. mace
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed consomme
1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. water

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 10 minutes. Add beef, pork and spices, mix thoroughly. Shape mixture into walnut size balls. Heat 3 tablespoons oil in heavy skillet. Brown balls evenly on all sides. Remove balls. Add flour to drippings and blend well; add consomme, juice, water and milk; cook stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and smooth; add salt, pepper and parsley to taste. Return balls to gravy, cover skillet and simmer gently for 20 minutes.
