1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Mix, chill. Roll thin, cut. Bake about 6 minutes. Frost for special occasions.
