4 c. lukewarm water
1 c. lard (or butter)
3 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 pkgs. yeast
10 or 11 c. flour

Add flour enough to make a soft dough. Knead as for bread. Let rise and place 2" apart in pans. Let rise and bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from pans after brushing with butter.
