SWEDISH POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg one at a time, beating well. Stir in flour, vanilla, chocolate chips, coconut and nuts. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Allow to cool slightly on rack; remove from pan.

TOPPING:

Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Boil 3 minutes, remove from heat. Add 1/2 stick butter and 1 teaspoon almond extract. Blend. Spread over warm cake.
