JAM TARTS 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 - 1 c. lard
4 tbsp. ice water
Jam

Combine first four ingredients to make pastry. Roll thin as possible, but not too thin so jam won't pop through. Use biscuit cutter to cut pastry. Place 1/2 - 1 teaspoon jam in center of pastry circle. Fold over and pinch edge together with fork. (Best done right on cookie sheet.) Prick top to let steam escape.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Makes about 7 dozen.
