1 c. buttermilk
1 c. sugar
3 bananas, mashed
1 small carton Cool Whip
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients and freeze in mold. Can pour into a covered plastic bowl and freeze, then serve from the container and re-freeze the remainder.

Don't let the buttermilk keep you from trying this. It's delicious and a good way to use up bananas. Plus, it's convenient to have on hand in the freezer for a last-minute salad or dessert either.
