TEA CAKES 
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
1 stick butter
1 tsp. lemon extract
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 or 2 drops of milk

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 or 20 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. Sift dry ingredients. Cream shortening and butter. Add slightly beaten eggs to milk, and then to dry mixture. Add lemon juice and extract. Mix well. Cut with small biscuit cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake.
