CHOCOLATE CRISPY COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. crisp rice cereal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits

Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, soda and salt, add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in the rice cereal and chocolate morsels. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes. Cool slightly and then remove to wire racks.
