COUNTRY STEAK | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 tbsp. flour Pinch of salt and pepper Mix in bowl; divide in half onto floured dough board. With rolling pin, roll out into thin sheet, sprinkling small amount of flour as needed. (You must keep rolling pin floured at all times.) Slice with knife into serving size pieces. Sprinkle with small amount of garlic salt. In iron skillet (if possible) using 2 tablespoons butter or bacon drippings, brown each piece of meat over medium heat, turning once. Drain as browned, on absorbent paper towel. Make basic milk gravy, using water or milk. Return "steak" to gravy; serve immediately over mashed potatoes or rice. |
