FRIED MUSH 
5 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 c. cornmeal

Put everything in a saucepan; bring to a boil until it thickens. When thick, pour in a glass loaf pan (oblong bread pan). Cool; may be made a day before hand. Slice 1/2" thick. Brown in cooking oil on both sides. Serve with gravy or maple syrup over it.
