SPICE CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
2 eggs
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar or 2 tsp. sugar substitute
3/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar or 3 tsp. sugar free brown sugar
1 1/3 c. buttermilk

In bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. In another bowl stir together oats, raisins and nuts. In another bowl cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, just until smooth. Stir in oatmeal mixture. Put in 13"x9" pan (greased and floured). Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cut into squares.
