JEWELED CHEESE BALL 
2 c. shredded natural Cheddar cheese
1 c. pitted dates, chopped
1 c. butter, softened
1 tbsp. brandy
1/2 c. toasted almonds, sliced

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except almonds. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well blended. Shape mixture into large ball. Roll in toasted almonds. Cover. Refrigerate. Remove 1 hour before serving. Serve with assorted crackers.
