BEACH'S SPECIAL CREAMY CHEESE SAUCE | |
2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. garlic salt or powder 1 c. milk 12 oz. American processed cheese (Velveeta), cubed 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1 sm. jar sliced mushrooms (optional) Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and garlic salt. Add milk all at once. Cook quickly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add cubed cheese and stir until melted. Add Parmesan cheese and mushrooms, stirring until blended for about 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve over cooked pasta for meal. Variation: Serve without mushrooms over tortilla chips for snack. |
