CRANBERRY - APPLE RELISH 
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. apple juice
1 lb. fresh or frozen cranberries (4 c.)
2 medium-size tart apples, cored & chopped coarse (2 1/2 c.)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (2 oz.)

Mix sugar, spices and apple juice in a deep 2-quart microwave-safe casserole. Stir in cranberries and apples. Cover loosely with waxed paper. Microwave on high 8 to 10 minutes, stirring twice, until cranberries pop. Uncover, microwave 2 to 3 minutes more until slightly thickened. Stir in walnuts. Let cool before serving. Makes 4 1/2 cups.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
