OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
1 c. flour
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted butter. Blend well at low speed to form crumbs. Press half of crumbs into bottom of 11x17 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate pieces and pecans.
