CALICO BEANS | |
1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. bacon, diced 1 onion, chopped 1/2 c. catsup 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. mustard 4 tsp. vinegar 3/4 c. light brown sugar 1 (30 oz.) can pork and beans 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans (chick peas), drained 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lima beans, thawed under hot water or green soy beans 1. Cook ground beef, bacon, and onion in skillet until meat loses color. Drain if excessively fatty. 2. Stir in catsup, salt, mustard, and vinegar. Combine remaining ingredients in a 3 quart casserole. Stir in meat mixture. Cover. 3. Bake in 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until bubbly. |
