BAKED BROWN BREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
1/3 c. canned milk
1/3 c. water
2/3 c. sifted flour
2/3 c. molasses
2 tsp. vinegar
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg

Place cornmeal in bowl, add milk and water. Stir to blend, set aside to soak about 20 minutes. Sift flour with sugar, soda, and salt into large bowl. Beat egg and add with molasses and vinegar to cornmeal. Add all at once to dry ingredients. Stir until moistened.

Bake in 8 x 4 x 3 loaf pan at 350 degrees, about 1 hour.
