1 lg. box vanilla wafers
1/2 c. sweet milk
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. walnuts
1 c. coconut flakes

Crush vanilla wafers and pour milk over them. Cream sugar and butter. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased and floured tube pan (wax paper line, if desired). Bake at 275 degrees for 2 hours.

Double this recipe to make a larger cake that fills the pan, if you like. I do.
