CABBAGE SALAD - 24 HOURS | |
4 lb. grated cabbage 2 green chopped peppers 2 grated carrots 1 grated onion, sm. Mix 1 tbsp. gelatin 1/4 c. cold water Heat 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 cup white vinegar until dissolved. Cool. Add gelatin mixture. Cool to thickness of cream. Add 1 cup salad oil. Mix well. Add 1 teaspoon celery seed, 1 teaspoon celery salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Pour over vegetables. Set 24 hours. |
