BUTTER NUT CRISPS 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add 1 cup flour. Mix in egg. Add rest of flour, salt, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Form into rolls 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Chill. Cut and bake 375 degrees.
