TEMPURA BATTER | |
3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder Salt and pepper to taste 1 egg 1 c. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. water Sift flour, cornstarch, baking powder, soda, salt and pepper. Stir in water and egg. Beat until smooth. Deep fry 2 minutes at 375 degrees. For fish and shrimp: Add 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning. This batter can also be used for veggies. |
