ASPARAGUS AND CHEESE BAKE 
2 lb. fresh asparagus
1/2 cube butter
2 oz. grated cheese
Salt, pepper & onion powder to taste
Paprika

Wash asparagus, "break" each stalk to remove the woody ends. Steam for 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place the asparagus in alternating layers in a buttered pan. Sprinkle grated cheese and spices over each layer. Pour melted butter over asparagus and bake approximately 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Shake on a dash of paprika for color and serve hot.
