BLACK MAGIC CAKE 
BLACK MAGIC CAKE:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (unbleached and sifted)
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup coffee (black and strong)
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Stir together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Then add eggs, oil, coffee, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer set at medium speed for 3 minutes. Pour batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until cake test done. Cool in pan on wire rack.

Frost with Hundred Dollar Frosting (see below) then cut into squares.

HUNDRED DOLLAR FROSTING:

4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate (3 oz.)
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 large egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine butter and semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler (or glass bowl over water in saucepan). Heat water, stirring vigorously. Stir in confectioners' sugar, egg, vanilla and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Stir in chopped walnuts and frost cooled cake!
