QUICK SWEET AND SOUR PORK | |
1 tbsp. corn oil 1 lb. boneless pork 1 can chunk pineapple 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. catsup 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. garlic 1/2 c. Karo (white syrup) 1/2 c. green pepper 1/2 c. sliced onion Cut pork into bite size pieces. Heat oil in skillet, brown meat, add pineapple chunks, syrup, vinegar, catsup, soy sauce, garlic. Bring to boil, then simmer 10 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water. Add with green pepper and onion. Stir constantly for 2 minutes. Serve on bed of rice. If you like your onion and pepper less crispy, cook in fat after pork is cooked before other ingredients are added. |
