1 env. unflavored gelatin
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Mix this in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in small amount of hot gelatin mixture to 1 already beaten egg and return to saucepan for 1 minute. Stir in 3 cups of whipping cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Combine 3 tablespoons sugar to 1 1/2 cups of diced peaches, add this to milk and egg mixture after cooled. Pour into ice cream freezer and mix until frozen. Strawberries can be substituted for peaches.
