ITALIAN ANISE CAKE 
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. anise extract

Combine all ingredients. Mix at medium speed until smooth, then add vanilla and anise. Pour into greased 8 or 9 inch tube pan. Lastly, add multi colored sprinkles over the top. Then bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.

If larger cake is desired, double all ingredients. Bake at the same amount of time and temperature.
