CORN FRITTERS 
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. corn meal
1 tbsp. water
12 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
Vegetable oil
Maple syrup

Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Beat egg into milk and add to flour with cornmeal, water and corn. Stir well. Drop by tablespoon into hot oil. Fry until brown, turning once. Serve with maple syrup.
