OATMEAL BARS 
Frosting:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
dash salt

Boil brown sugar and cream to soft ball stage. Add coconut, vanilla and salt. Quickly spread over bars. You can use a fork to spread frosting.

Bars:

1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour 1 1/2 c. boiling water with oatmeal and stir. Cool. Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs, cooled oats, and beat well. Add flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan.

Bake at 3501 for 25 minutes. Test for doneness. Make frosting and spread while warm.
