2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. vinegar (white)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream together. Drop or make balls and press down with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet (350 degrees for 15-20 minutes).

Makes 5 1/2 dozen.

A very butter cookie. Great for cut out Christmas cookies, if dough is chilled first.
