GRANDMOTHER'S FAVORITE PISTACHIO
NUT - SWIRL CAKE
 
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (4 serving size) pkg. Jello Pistachio flavor instant pudding and pie filling
1/4 c. oil
7 drops green food coloring

Combine sugar, nuts, and cinnamon; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in large mixing bowl. Blend well, then beat at medium speed for 4 minutes. Pour 1/3 of the batter into a greased, floured 10 inch tube pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the sugar mixture. Repeat layers and top with remaining batter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes. Cool in pan about 15 minutes. Remove.
