I was out of Bisquick so I used Cracker Barrel biscuit and pancake mix. The biscuits were very easy to make and very tasty.

These were great (not like the hockey pucks I usually bake) - had less than half a cup of shredded cheese - so I added some Parmesan cheese sprinkles and cut in a tablespoon of really cold butter (after the dough was little crumbles I cut the butt in with a butter knife until it formed a ball). In addition I added a pinch of onion powder and chili powder to the final butter mixture and WOW!!! Tasty, fluffy, crispy on the edges and light and airy on the inside. In an effort not to over mix I rolled the mixed dough into a log and cut it into rounds. The result was uniform biscuits - will make these again and again.

I make these all the time. I do add a little dried chopped onion pieces. Out of the world. This is my Sunday morning breakfast - with sausage gravy over. If you use the Pioneer Brand Sausage Gravy mix - put over these biscuits, believe it or not... its actually better than Hardee's.

I almost cried, because I don't cook much anymore, my age, and an accident. But my son was coming to see me, so I made these, as I know he loves them. They turned out perfect, but he took a couple out on the lanai and he took my little dog with him. He didn't even taste them!! You know who got them!!

Tastes very good but doesn't have the heart clogging feel of the real Red Lobster biscuits. Very easy and quick to make goes over great.

I love these Biscuits!!! But I cannot find Bisquick here in Brazil!!! Can anyone tell me what I can use to replace that?
 #77447
 Chelle (Pennsylvania) replies:
Fabio, One cup of Bisquick can be substituted by a mix of one cup of All Purpose Flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of oil or melted butter.
