TOFFEE SQUARES 
2 c. butter or shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
2 tsp. vanilla
3 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chips
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Spread into a 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan (greased). Bake for 20-25 minutes until nicely browned. Remove from oven and immediately place chips on top to melt. Spread softened chips over surface. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut in small squares while warm.
