2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 lb. ground veal
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 c. chopped onions
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. red wine
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

Preheat oven to 400.

Combine beef, pork, veal, cheese, crumbs, chili sauce, onions, eggs, green pepper, salt, pepper, garlic and Worcestershire. Mix thoroughly.

Form into loaf, place in shallow baking pan or dish. Bake for 30 minutes, turn heat to 325. Add wine to pan juices and bake for 30 minutes longer.

Pour tomato sauce evenly over loaf. Bake for 30 minutes longer or until well glazed.

Three bacon strips may be placed on top of sauce if desired.
