ALL BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. All Bran cereal
1 c. Wheat Chex
1 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Put All Bran in mixing bowl. Pour Wheat Chex on top. Pour boiling water over them and let stand. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Mix with cereals. Do not beat more than necessary. Grease muffin tin or use foil muffin cups. Fill 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Best results: Refrigerate batter before baking. Batter can be kept in refrigerator until ready to use.
