COUNTRY HOUSE FUDGE 
4 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 stick butter for butter
1 tall can evaporated milk

Gently boil 8 to 10 minutes. (Be sure you start the timing after candy mixture has reached a full gentle boiling point.

1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 German sweet chocolate bars
1 lg. Hershey bar (break up into small pieces
1 1/2 pts. marshmallow cream
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. chopped nuts (black walnuts are good)

Mix rapidly with large spoon until thoroughly blended. Pour into buttered pans. Cool several hours before serving. One batch fills a 12x8 cookie sheet cut in squares as soon as it set and cools a little.
